Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th May 2022

Time: 10.00am – 4.00pm on both days

Ever dreamed of creating your very own handwoven fabric from start to finish? If so, this workshop is for you!

Suitable for beginners or those with a little more experience. The workshop is focused on a small group (max 4); allowing for individual support in a relaxed and creative environment.

This workshop will take you through choosing the right yarn and heddle for your project, planning the colour and length of your warp, direct and indirect warping, weaving to create texture and pattern interest, how to use pick up sticks for added detail and finishing your work off neatly – (plus as many other things as can be fitted into the 2 days).

You will be able to create a unique length of fabric suitable for a scarf, cushion cover, place mat or piece of wall art – so everyone leaves with something special. Individual aspirations will be discussed beforehand to ensure the weekend is a truly personal experience.

So, if you want to get a thorough introduction to the art of weaving then come along and join the fun.

Looms will be provided for you to use but if you would like to bring your own along then that can be accommodated.

Christina Kalkun from will be helping you create your individual textile projects.

There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and further your knowledge and skills.

Handouts will be provided for techniques covered.
